ZEDOS Privacy Policy
Last updated: 6 octobre 2026
1. Who we are
The ZEDOS app (iPhone) is published and operated by:
- Data controller: Jeremy Zaremba, sole trader (French "entrepreneur individuel" — micro-entrepreneur), operating ZEDOS as part of his business activity
- Address: 18 impasse d’Hernicourt, 57580 Herny, France
- Registration: SIREN 106 003 841 — Metz Trade and Companies Register (RCS Metz)
- Contact: contact@jeremyz.fr (questions, exercising your rights, reports)
"ZEDOS" is the name of the app, not a legal person. Full legal information is in the legal notice (https://jeremyz.fr/mentions-legales).
2. The essentials
- ZEDOS counts the kilometres you ride on your scooter, lets you progress (levels, challenges, rankings, clans, competitions) and guides you.
- No advertising, no sale of data, no ad tracking. ZEDOS uses no third-party analytics or advertising tools.
- Your exact position is never stored on our servers. During a ride, it is processed on your phone to compute the distance; only the ride summary is sent. On the riders map, you only appear within an area of about 100 m, and only if you chose to.
- You can delete your account and data at any time in the app (Settings → Account → Delete my account).
3. Data we process
3.1 Account
- Email address and password (the password is stored hashed by our hosting provider and is never readable).
- Date of birth: only to check the minimum age (15) and apply protection rules to under-18s. It is never displayed.
- App language.
3.2 Profile
- Username, photo (optional), short bio (optional), home city.
- These are visible to other signed-in ZEDOS users (rankings, clans, competitions). The photo is stored by our host and can only be reached through a hard-to-guess link used by the app; it is not listed anywhere publicly.
3.3 Scooters (Garage)
- Model, nickname, odometer, serial number (optional). The serial number is never shown to other users.
3.4 Location
See section 5, which details every use.
3.5 Rides
- For each recorded ride: start and end time, distance, moving and paused time, number of signal gaps, scooter used.
- The detailed GPS trace stays on your phone (last 20 rides); it is never sent to our servers and is erased when you sign out.
3.6 Progression and game
- Level, experience (XP), coins, earnings log (origin of each gain), items, badges, challenges, chests, coin purchases, virtual scooter customization.
- Coins are a virtual currency with no monetary value (see the Terms of Use).
3.7 Community: clans, messages, rides, referrals
- Clan membership and role, invitations, join requests.
- Messages posted in the clan, message reports (reason).
- Group rides: title, description, date, city, participants; the exact meeting point entered by the organizer is only shared with participants.
- Referrals: referral code, referrer/referee links and their status.
3.8 Competitions and events
- Entries, kilometres counted during the competition, rankings (including daily position), final results, reward allocations (status, amount).
3.9 Rider Pro
See section 9.
3.10 Technical data on your phone
- Sign-in session (encrypted), rides waiting to be sent, local traces, recent destinations, maintenance tracking, settings. These stay on your phone, except pending rides, sent as soon as the network is back.
4. Why we use this data (purposes and legal bases)

| Show your approximate presence on the riders map | ~100 m area, municipality | Consent (off by default, withdrawable at any time) |
| Show your username, photo and scooter to nearby riders | profile | Separate consent (never for minors) |
| Navigation and address search | start/destination, search text | Performance of the contract (at your request) |
| Clans, messages, rides, referrals | content and links between users | Performance of the contract |
| Moderation (reports) | messages, reports | Legitimate interest (community safety) |

| Rider Pro | subscription status, Apple transaction IDs | Performance of the contract |
| Answering support requests | email and message content | Legitimate interest / performance of the contract |
We do not use your data for advertising, commercial profiling or automated decisions with legal effects. Competition rankings are computed automatically from validated kilometres; you can dispute a result at contact@jeremyz.fr.
5. Location: what ZEDOS actually does
1. During a GO ride (started by you): your position is read continuously, including when the screen is locked or the app is in the background, only while the ride is in progress (iOS then shows the location indicator). GPS points are processed on your phone to compute the distance; only the ride summary is sent to our servers. Tracking stops on pause, at the end of the ride, when discarded or on sign-out. 2. In-app map: your position displays your scooter and centres the map. It is not sent to our servers for this. 3. Riders map ("I'm visible") — off by default:
- our servers never store your exact coordinates: only a fixed area of about 100 m × 100 m and the estimated municipality;
- other riders in your municipality see "X riders in this area"; your username, photo and scooter are only shown if you separately consented;
- a hidden zone around your home can be set: you are never shown inside it (mandatory for under-18s). Its centre is rounded to an area of about 100 m before being stored (never your exact coordinates) and is never shown to anyone;
- your presence expires automatically 10 minutes after the last update;
- the "Visible to my clan" mode currently does not share your position with anyone. 4. Address search: the text you type and an approximate position (about 10 m, to suggest nearby results) are sent directly from your phone to the French public geocoding service of IGN (Géoplateforme). 5. Route calculation: the start point and destination are sent, through our server, to the openrouteservice service. We only keep a daily request counter (anti-abuse). 6. Opening a place in another app (Maps, Google Maps): only if you tap the corresponding button; that app's own policy then applies.
You can turn off location access at any time in your iPhone settings; ride recording and navigation will stop working. With "Precise Location" turned off, no kilometre can be counted (the app tells you).
6. What other users see
- All signed-in users: username, photo, city, level, kilometres (rankings), Rider Pro badge, clan, competition participation and ranking.
- Your clan members: additionally, your clan messages and your role.
- Riders in your municipality (if "I'm visible"): your presence within a ~100 m area; your username, photo and scooter only with your consent.
- Never: your email, date of birth, exact coordinates, traces, hidden zone, or scooter serial numbers.
- You can opt out of individual rankings.
7. Recipients and service providers
Your data is never sold or rented. It is processed by the following providers, only to run ZEDOS:
| Provider | Role | Data | Location |
|---|---|---|---|
| Supabase Pte. Ltd. | Database hosting, sign-in, photo storage, server functions | All account data | European Union (Ireland) |
| Apple Inc. / Apple Distribution International | Distribution (App Store, TestFlight), Apple Maps tiles shown in the app, Rider Pro payment | Map area displayed; purchase data processed by Apple | Per Apple's policy |
| IGN – French National Institute of Geographic and Forest Information (Géoplateforme) | Address search | Search text, approximate position | France |
| HeiGIT gGmbH (openrouteservice) | Route calculation | Start point and destination | Germany |
| OVH SAS (OVHcloud email) | Confirmation and security emails | Email address | France / European Union |
| OVH SAS (OVHcloud email) | Support requests | Your emails | France / European Union |
| OVH SAS (web hosting) | Website, policy, support page | Website visit logs | France / European Union |
We may also disclose data where required by law. Transfers outside the EU (Supabase, Apple are US companies) are covered by the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses (Supabase) and the safeguards in Apple's terms.
8. Retention
| Data | Period |
|---|---|
| Account, profile, scooters, progression, ride summaries | As long as the account exists. You can delete it at any time from the app. |
| Riders map presence | 10 minutes after the last update |
| Route request counter | Replaced daily |
| Detailed GPS traces | On your phone only: last 20 rides, erased on sign-out |
| Clan messages | While the clan exists, until removed by moderation or until their author deletes their account |
| Reports | Until the reported message or the reporter's account is deleted |
| Competition results | As long as the account exists |
| Rider Pro | Status and Apple transaction IDs: as long as the account exists, deleted with it (Apple keeps its own billing records) |
| Support emails | 3 years after the last exchange |
| Technical database backups | Depending on the Supabase plan: no automatic backups (free plan) or 7 days (Pro plan), then automatically erased |
9. Rider Pro
- Rider Pro is a monthly subscription (€2.99 per month in France, price shown by the App Store, which may vary by country and taxes) offered exclusively through Apple In-App Purchase.
- Payment is processed by Apple. ZEDOS never receives or stores any banking data.
- ZEDOS only keeps: the subscription purchased, its status (active, expired, refunded), its end date and the transaction identifiers provided by Apple, to activate your benefits, restore them on a new device, and handle renewals and refunds notified by Apple.
- You manage and cancel the subscription in your Apple account settings. Refunds are handled by Apple.
10. Real-reward competitions
No competition with real rewards is offered at this time, so ZEDOS collects no payout data (identity, bank details). This policy will be updated before any launch.
11. Minors
- ZEDOS is for people aged 15 and over (checked at sign-up).
- Under 18: "Visible to everyone" requires a hidden zone around home, and username, photo and scooter are never shown on the riders map.
- Rider Pro is purchased through the user's Apple account and, for a minor, subject to Apple's parental controls ("Ask to Buy").
12. Deleting your account
- In the app: Settings → Account → Delete my account, then confirm. Deletion is immediate and permanent.
- Deleted: your account, profile and photo, scooters, rides, progression, items and badges, clan membership and messages, referrals, competition and event entries and results, riders-map data, and this account's data stored on the phone.
- What remains, with no link to you: past group rides you organized (without organizer or meeting point; your upcoming rides are cancelled); clans you created that have other members (leadership passes automatically to another member; a clan where you were alone is deleted); anonymized moderation records; technical backups, automatically erased when they expire.
- Deleting your account does not cancel an active Rider Pro subscription with Apple: cancel it in your Apple settings (the app reminds you before deletion).
- You can also request deletion by email at contact@jeremyz.fr from the address linked to the account.
13. Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, objection (for processing based on legitimate interest), to withdraw consent at any time (riders map, profile display), and (under French law) to set instructions regarding your data after death. Rectification and erasure are available directly in the app; other requests: contact@jeremyz.fr (answer within one month). You may lodge a complaint with the CNIL (www.cnil.fr) or your local supervisory authority.
14. Security
Encrypted connections, encrypted session on the phone, strict server-side access rules (each user only reads what concerns them), no secret key in the app, exact positions never stored, serial numbers never exposed.
15. User content, moderation and blocking
Clan messages can be reported. Clan leaders and the publisher may remove messages that breach the Terms of Use.
You can block a rider (from the clan chat or the clan member list). The block is stored on our servers (who blocked whom, and when): you no longer see each other's clan messages, they can't invite you or join your rides (and vice versa), and your profile is no longer shown to them on the riders map. The blocked person is not notified. You can unblock at any time (Settings → Blocked riders). Blocks are deleted with your account.
16. Changes
We may update this policy. The update date is shown at the top; you will be informed in the app of any significant change.
